"the game really isn’t that bad"
10 years ago it would have been hard to believe
that Call of Duty, one of the most popular titles of recent times would
go on to spawn one of the most hated videos in You Tube history.
From the average guy’s perspective, though, all the
games play pretty similarly. The problem is, the fans know exactly what
they want and when they don’t get what they demand everyone takes to the
internet in droves to complain.
Being set in space, the big concern is that the
game will feel a little silly and hard to take seriously. Yet on the
whole the story is quite intelligently done. Give or take the occasional
interplanetary dogfight.
Of course the main event is online multiplayer.
Featuring the same wall-running, boots 6ft in the air system from Black Ops
3, you could be forgiven for thinking you were playing DLC.
But despite the fan backlash, the game really isn’t
that bad. Plus there’s the Modern Warfare Remaster as a sweetener for
detractors.
Just go back to boots on the ground for the next
game, Activision.
